Getting Back into the Swing of Things

Well, my little guy is a month old & I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. I know I'm still WAY behind on posting the last few sessions from before he was born & I'll get to it here soon. I've been keeping myself busy editing sessions & getting announcements and Christmas cards together & ready to go for myself & clients. So check back soon for recent shoots (I have a fun one on Friday) as well as some older ones that still haven't been posted, and maybe even a contest - guess you'll have to wait and see! Hope your holidays are going well & it's still not too late to schedule a session this month and have your pictures back by Christmas!

So here's my new little dude - I had so much fun taking his newborn pictures even though he wanted nothing to do with the camera. I swear every time I'd pull out the camera to get these pics he'd throw a fit & wouldn't calm down until the camera was put away. Hopefully he starts to feel a bit more comforatable in front of a camera cause it's going to start coming out more now that I'm feeling more comfortable with the whole 2 kid thing. But I'm just crazy about this little boy, I have a hard time putting him down to get things done.

A Little Behind

In trying to get all completed sessions edited before this baby's born I'm a little behind in posting sneak peaks on here - sorry everyone that's waiting to see my favorites from their sessions. Hopefully I can get myself a little more caught up this weekend & get them posted here soon.

The Latest News

I was going to stop scheduling sessions after the 18th, but I've decided that I will continue to schedule sessions through the 27th. So, if you'd like to schedule a session between now & the 28th just send me an e-mail. Now, if you do schedule a session for before the 28th, just know that it could be cancelled (due to me having a baby) & I may not be able to get your images back to you as fast as I normally would.

For those of you who are just looking to get a few pictures, maybe not an entire session, I'm offering mini sessions from now to the 28th and again beginning in mid November. Mini sessions will consist of about 20-30 minutes of shooting for up to 5 people/pets ($5 extra for each additional person/pet) and 5 edited images on a copyright release disc for $30. You can then take your images and use them for Christmas Cards or just to update your family picture. These sessions will not include group & individual shots as normal sessions would, they will consist of family/group shots unless you'd prefer it to be just individual shots.

If you're interested in having pictures during the week of Thanksgiving in the Park City area, let me know. I'll be relaxing up there with my family that week & still have a few photo session/mini session spots available during that time.

The Harward Family - take 1

This is one of my favorite families, these guys have become some of our closest friends over the last few years (we even went to Hawaii with them earlier this year). I had the opportunity to go out with them last night & get some updated pictures of their family & of their adorable kids. Unfortunatly our session got cut short thanks to some dark clouds, wind & rain so we'll probably be heading out to try again here in the next little bit.

The Van Leeuwen Family

Meet my brother-in-law & his adorable family. I got to do their family pictures over the weekend but have been crazy busy since & hadn't had a chance to get them posted - so, here they are. We had originally planned to take these pictures at Snowbird but when we arrived it was SO crowded (thanks to Oktoberfest) that we decided to keep driving & looking for another place to do their pics. We drove for a little longer & then we found this spot, it was perfect & the colors were more vibrant than where we had originally planned. I love this time of the year, the leaves are so brightly colored & makes for the most beautiful backdrops! Now, I just have to say, I love this family, these kiddo's are just the cutest (ok, so really all our nieces & nephews are) and are so much fun to be around (and mom & dad aren't too bad to be around themselves).

D&N - I'm glad we found this great spot & I hope you like the pics, I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites to post!

don't forget to schedule your fall photo session

October 18th is fast approaching (that's the last day I'll be doing sessions until about the end of November). I still have a few openings available in October so if you're thinking about getting pictures done shoot me an e-mail so we can get your session scheduled. The leaves are changing & now is a great time to get those family pictures updated!

The Macfarlane Family

Last night I got to shoot the cutest family. Their little girl is not only just the cutest little thing but she's about the same age as my little guy. It's a hard age to capture as they're so curious and wanting to see and touch everything, but it's also so much fun! It was great to meet you guys!

it's time to start thinking about SENIOR PORTRAITS and FALL FAMILY PICTURES

Calling all High School Seniors and Parents of High School Seniors!! With school having recently started, it's a great time to start thinking about senior portraits and with that I recently added a "Senior Special" to my packages. For $40 you get a 60 minute session at a location of your choice with no limit to outfit changes, and a high resolution copyright release disc of your 10 favorite images.

And don't forget to schedule your Fall Family Picture session (think updated pictures for this years Christmas Cards). Since I'll be adding to my family next month I'm only scheduling sessions through mid October. Since I've heard having two kids take a bit of adjusting I'll only take a small number of sessions from Mid November through the first of the year. So, if you're interested in scheduling a Fall Session you might want to get it scheduled quickly as my availability is filling up.

Lucky Me - two sweet little newborn sessions in just over a week.

This sweet little thing was only 6 days old when I shot her newborn session. You've seen her older sisters on here in the past. From the time I arrived to take Baby G's pictures her silly sisters were begging for me to take some of them too, but that day was all about Baby G. I think she's just too precious and holding her makes me so excited for my little one's arrival at the end of next month! She's such a mellow & easy going little thing. Though her session was probably the longest session I've shot, I had a blast shooting her and visiting with her parents! I'm pretty lucky that I get to call this little bundle my niece!
